System Requirements

Blink is designed to run on any system running Java 6.0 or later. Blink has been tested on the following operating systems:

• Windows XP
• Windows Vista
• Mac OS X
• Linux

Download Blink

The Blink software is currently in development. An early access version of the software is available at:

Windows: blinkInstall_v1.0a.exe
Other: blinkInstall_v1.0a.jar

Installation

Simply download and run the Blink Installer.

The first time Blink is run, it will create a ".blink" directory in the users home directory, copy the configuration file to the directory, then a dialog will appear, showing a progress bar and status messages while the initial Blink database is created and loaded.

Device Control

Blink provides device control capabilities using third party network gateway devices.

EZSrve Gateway

Blink supports control of INSTEON and X10 devices using the EZSrve INSTEON/X10 Home Automation Gateway

IR Gateway

Blink has partial support for controlling IR devices using the Global Caché Home Network Adapter-8114
